Our Camps

Sanneh Soccer Camp is being launched because after 15 years of elite professional playing experience, Tony Sanneh wanted to share all that he has learned with kids from his native Minnesota and across the region.

While he is still playing professionally, Tony has established the only camp in the Midwest designed and run by someone with experience playing in the World Cup, Major League Soccer and the prestigious UEFA Champions League. Tony has also enlisted the assistance of Eric Bell, who is the associate women’s head coach at national powerhouse Florida State.  Bell is uniquely positioned to provide female athletes with an understanding of what it takes to play at the NCAA Division I level, as well as giving players a platform to be identified as future Division I prospects.   For the boys, David Vaudreuil will be the program director.  Dave is former MLS teammate of tony’s  and  a Princeton grad, whose coaching resume includes General Manager of AC Milans USA Academy, and Director of Soccer Club for Chivas USA.

The goal of the camp is to provide an environment where players of all levels can come together to learn and improve as soccer players. We want to establish an atmosphere where kids from all communities can be united through their excitement about the sport, with the aim of making working on your game as fun as it is rewarding. Under Tony’s guidance, we have assembled a staff of local and national coaches to teach soccer based on the experience and methods that Sanneh has accumulated throughout his extensive career at the highest levels of the sport.

At Sanneh Soccer Camp we will also be teaching kids from all backgrounds to co-exist based on the ideals from the For All Youth program. For All Youth is a Minnesota-based initiative within the Sanneh Foundation that is dedicated to uniting diverse communities through soccer by:

  • expanding participation by youth of color in organized soccer and
  • building cultural competency within organized soccer in order to ensure that youth of color have a successful experience.

It works with local clubs and camps to teach cultural diversity, and provides scholarships to these groups so that individuals from different walks of life have the chance to benefit from the shared experience.

Proceeds from the Sanneh Soccer Camp will be used by the Sanneh Foundation to further expand outreach efforts in the community. In addition to running All For Youth, the foundation partners with the NYSP program to provide soccer training to urban kids during summer school programs.
